Lincoln Center Updates 2015-16 GREAT PERFORMERS and WHITE LIGHT FESTIVAL Lineups

The 50th season of Lincoln Center's Great Performers series and the sixth season of its White Light Festival commence on October 14 with tenor Mark Padmore and pianist Paul Lewis in the first of three highly-anticipated Schubert song recitals.
The two series will offer 60 performances and events through June, unfolding in 13 venues on and off the Lincoln Center campus. There will be one world premiere and five U.S. premieres amidst an array of music concerts, dance performances, spoken word, film screenings, a free chamber music series in the David Rubenstein Atrium, and panel discussions, culminating in the U.S. premiere of Gerald Barry's opera, The Importance of Being Earnest, co-presented with CONTACT! at the NY Phil Biennial as part of the Lincoln Center - New York Philharmonic Opera Initiative.
Single tickets for White Light go on sale on September 1. An updated combined chronology of both series follows.

Great Performers and the White Light Festival are presentations of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts (LCPA), which serves three primary roles: presenter of artistic programming, national leader in community relations and arts and education through Lincoln Center Education and manager of the Lincoln Center campus. A presenter of more than 3,000 free and ticketed events, performances, tours, and educational activities annually, LCPA offers 15 series, festivals, and programs includingAmerican Songbook, Avery Fisher Artist Program, LC Kids, Lincoln Center Festival, Lincoln Center Out of Doors, Lincoln Center Vera List Art Project, Midsummer Night Swing, Martin E. Segal Awards, Mostly Mozart Festival, as well as the Emmy Award-winning Live From Lincoln Center, which airs nationally on PBS. As manager of the Lincoln Center campus, LCPA provides support and services for the Lincoln Center complex and the 11 resident organizations. In addition, LCPA led a $1.2 billion campus renovation, completed in October 2012.
