The world has loved the show-stopping Lillias White since she made her Broadway debut in Barnum in 1981. A Brooklyn native, White understudied the role of Effie in the original 1981 production of Dreamgirls and performed in the role in the 1987 revival. Since, Lillias White has taken television, film, and the stage by storm!

White has conquered numerous roles on Broadway in legendary shows such as Cats, Carrie, Once on This Island, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Chicago, and Fela! She has also appeared on television and in film roles both as an actor and through voice-over work. Her abundant list of individual awards includes a Tony, a Drama Desk Award, a Drama League Award, an Outer Critics Circle Award, an Emmy, and an Obie, in addition to her shared ensemble AUDELCO Award.

Soon, Lillias White will be seen in the Broadway-bound, new musical Half Time, (Formerly entitled Gotta Dance) directed and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell, alongside Andre DeShields, Stefanie Powers and Georgia Engel.
