The 2007 New York Musical Theatre Festival and Dennis Grimaldi Productions present Like Love, a new musical with book and lyrics by Barry Jay Kaplan and music by Lewis Flinn.  Directed by Lisa Rothe, Like Love plays at the TBG Theatre, 312 West 36th Street (between 8th and 9th Ave) beginning September 20.

"He meets She. He likes She. She likes He. They meet regularly for Great Sex, then Love enters the picture.  Things get...complicated.  Revisit love in all of its joys and sorrows in this intimate three-hander with a sensual, jazz-influenced score," describe press notes.

The young cast features Danielle Ferland (Into the Woods); Emily Swallow (High Fidelity) and Jon Patrick Walker (High Fidelity). Musical direction is by Brad Simmons, set and lighting designs are by Maruti Evans with costuming by Christina Bullard.

Performances are Thursday September 20 at 8PM; Friday September 21 1PM; Saturday September 22 4:30PM; Sunday September 23 at 4:30PM; Wednesday September 26 at 8PM; Friday September 28 at 8PM and Wednesday October 3 at 4:30PM.

Tickets for Like Love are $20 and can be purchased by calling 212-352-2101 or visit www.nymf.org.

Now in its 4th year, The New York Musical Theatre Festival is the largest musical theatre event in America. NYMF premiered 99 new musicals during its first three seasons, with more than a dozen of these shows transferring to successful off-Broadway and regional productions.  Hailed as "the Sundance of Musical Theatre," NYMF is widely regarded as the premier source for new material and talent discovery.
