Composer-lyricist Michael R. Jackson returns to the Laurie Beechman Theater Sunday October 16th with a concert evening of new music entitled GOOD CLEAN MUSIC: ANOTHER MICHAEL R. Jackson SONG THING.

The composer, who has largely come to be known for his racy material is turning the tables on audience expectations by presenting what he describes as "a fun, mostly white, non-confrontational evening of almost completely new songs that even your avid theatergoing, Dancing-With-The-Stars loving, right wing Republican mother could love."

Featuring: Derrick Cobey (Scottsboro Boys), Molly Hager (Fat Camp), Jason "Sweettooth" Williams (Bloodsong of Love, Things To Ruin), Eric William Morris (Mamma Mia, Bloodsong of Love), Brandon Uranowitz (Baby, It's You!), Heath Calvert (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson), Chivas Michael, Jared Weiss, Joelle Lurie, Lorinda Lisitza (ReWrite), Lauren Marcus (The Plant That Ate Dirty Socks), DeOnzell Green, and Onyie Nwachukwu

The evening will feature additional lyrics by Jonathan Larson Award winner Robert Maddock and music by composers Rachel Peters and Kori Withers.

Michael R. Jackson is a graduate of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts Musical Theatre Writing Program. He has written book and/or lyrics for the musicals Only Children (LCT Director's Lab, NYU Undergraduate Main Stage) and A Strange Loop, directed by May Adrales (Edith Can Shoot Things and Hit Them.)

Directed by Sam Pinkleton
Music Direction by Kristen Rosenfeld & Cian McCarthy

The Laurie Beechman Theater is located at 407 West 42nd Street. Tickets are $12 plus a $15 food/drink minimum. Call (212) 695-6909 for reservations.
