On Monday, October 4, 2010, television personality Carson Kressley and actress Sara Ramirez (Grey's Anatomy) will host the very first Broadway Takes the Runway -an evening of fashion and song, to benefit the Al D. Rodriguez Liver Foundation.

This exciting event celebrates fashion and showtunes as only the Broadway community can. Six Broadway divas (and maybe even a divo!), including Sara, will deliver their signature Broadway hits, dressed in spectacular couture gowns, personally chosen for each star by Carson. Special guests and designers to be announced.

Kressley and Ramirez were inspired to create the Al D. Rodriguez Liver Foundation to honor their dear friend, Al, who died in 2008 of liver cancer. ADRLF is a non-profit organization committed to providing resources, education and information related to screening, prevention and treatment for the hepatitis virus and liver cancer. Among its many other projects, ADRLF partners with the Actor's Fund / Al Hirschfeld Clinic to provide free screenings for the uninsured for hepatitis and liver cancer. 100% of the evening's profits go to the Foundation.

The event will take place at Touch Nightclub located at 240 West 52nd Street. Doors open at 7:00pm and the show will begin at 8:00pm. Tickets are $50 for the show and $200 for upstairs VIP access. To purchase tickets call 866-811-4111 or visit www.BroadwayTakesTheRunway.com. For more information on the Al D. Rodriguez Liver Foundation go to www.AlDRodriguezLiverFoundation.com.
