Sing for Hope (www.singforhope.org), a public service organization for artists, has joined forces with Yale University to present an evening of song performed by distinguished Yale alumni. The second annual Songs for Our Future concert will take place in honor of Yale's "Day of Service" as a benefit for Sing for Hope's Art U! program, which brings dynamic arts and leadership education to underserved New York City youth.

Richard Kind, perhaps best known for his roles on "Mad About You" and "Spin City," will host this special evening. Yale alumni performing include Tony Award nominee Malcolm Gets (Story of My Life; A New Brain), Tony Award winner Ted Sperling (South Pacific; A Light in the Piazza), Mike Errico (VH1, Puccini for Beginners), Ali Ewoldt (Les Misérables; International Tour of West Side Story), Christopher Dylan Herbert (Boston Pops, Avery Fisher Hall), Amy Justman (Company; White Christmas), Nicole Lewis (Hair; Lennon), Sam Tsui (YouTube sensation; The Oprah Winfrey Show), Lauren Worsham (Candide at City Opera; Spelling Bee), and their Yale alumni colleagues from the stages of Broadway.

Songs for Our Future will once again be directed by Andy Sandberg (Tony Award winning producer of Hair), with musical direction by Andrew M. Byrne (Les Misérables; The Bridge Project).

The Celebration Committee for this event includes Polly and Michael Brandmeyer, Andrew Burgie, Mark Dollhopf, Christopher Durang, David Alan Grier, Samuel Hendel, Christopher Herbert, Rebecca and Tim Hunt, Nicholas Lewis, Mark Linn-Baker, Gerrit Meier, Brian Neff, Michael and Julie Pitman, Alexander Reid, Andy Sandberg, George Steel, Elise Thoron, Christianne Tisdale, Maury Yeston, and Camille Zamora and Tom Whayne.

The performance will take place at Clear Channel's P.C. Richard & Sons Theater (32 Avenue of the Americas in TriBeCa) at 8:00pm on May 7th, 2010. Tickets are priced at $250 and include a reception with the artists before the event. Tables are available at $1000, $2500, and $5000. All proceeds will go towards preserving arts education in New York City's public schools through Sing for Hope's Art U! program. To purchase tickets, please click here.

About Sing for Hope
"What Sing for Hope does is wonderfully simple. It maintains a roster of compassionate, world-class artists who donate time and talent to the humanitarian causes that inspire them." - Dr. Muhammad Yunus, 2006 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and Sing for Hope Board Member

Founded by opera singers with a desire to lift their voices for social change, Sing for Hope mobilizes more than 600 world-class artists - from classical musicians to photographers to Broadway performers - who donate time and talent in our volunteer service programs that benefit schools, hospitals and communities. Sing for Hope provides three programs: Art U! (dynamic arts and leadership education for under-resourced youth), Healing Arts (in-hospital performances and workshops that complement the healing process), and Community Arts (events that raise awareness and funds for humanitarian causes, and projects that dismantle barriers to arts accessibility). Each Sing for Hope project is defined by the volunteerism of professional artists and our belief in the transformative power of the arts. Sing for Hope (www.singforhope.org) is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
