According to Hollywire, Katie Holmes has landed a guest spot on the hit television show GLEE. Holmes is reportedly in talks for a deal that will give her a role for five episodes during GLEE's second season.

According to the reports, Holmes landed the spot through close friend Dianna Agron, who plays Quinn Fabray in the series. The friendship led to Holmes getting to know the show's creator, Ryan Murphy.

The National Enquire said, "Katie is finalizing a deal to join the cast for a limited story line next season. Katie's film career has stalled, and she's desperately needs a career boost. She's hoping a stint on Glee will jumpstart her standing in Hollywood."

Holmes has been taking dance lessons from choreographer Tyce Diorio three times a week says one source. Sources also say she has hired a private singing coach.

Katie Holmes made her Broadway debut in the 2008-2009 season in ALL MY SONS.

Last season welcomed special guest stars Kristin Chenoweth, Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff and Neil Patrick Harris (to name a few).  Rumors are that Susan Boyle and Justin Timberlake will be appearing in next season, as well.

GLEE is produced by Ryan Murphy Television in association with 20th Century Fox Television. Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan are co-creators of the series. Murphy, Falchuk and Dante di Loreto serve as executive producers, while Ian Brennan serves as co-executive producer.
