Just Announced: Lauren Kennedy, Katie Thompson & More Join Rubin-Vega, Burgess, and Young In 'Cutting Edge Composers' Concert, 11/9

As previously announced, Josh Young and Laura Pietropinto will present the second installment of Cutting Edge Composers: A New Generation of Musical Theater Songwriters on November 9 at the Canal Room.  The concert will begin at 8pm, with doors opening at 7:30pm. 

The full line-up of performers has been announced and includes: Tituss Burgess (The Little Mermaid), Joe Cassidy (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels), Colin Hanlon (Rent), Jeremy Kushnier (Footloose), Brooke Sunny Moriber (Threepenny Opera), Daphne Rubin-Vega (Rent) and Josh Young (Les Miserables). Lauren Kennedy (Vanities, Spamalot), Katie Thompson (R.R.R.E.D., GIANT), Matt Doyle (Bye Bye Birdie, Spring Awakening), Lilli Cooper (Spring Awakening), Jason "Sweettooth" Williams (The Back Suits) and Lance Rubin (The Black Suits) join the line-up for Cutting-Edge Composers II: A New Generation of Musical Theater Songwriters.

 Directed by Laura Pietropinto (Next To Normal) with musical direction by Julie McBride, the concert will feature some fan favorites and world premier songs of Jeremy Schonfeld, Peter Lerman, Brian Lowdermilk and Kait Kerrigan, Jonathan Reid Gealt, Brad Alexander and Adam Mathias, Chris Miller and Nathan Tysen, Joshua Salzman and Ryan Cunningham, Creighton Irons and Sean Mahoney, Joe Iconis and Ryan Scott Oliver. Laura Pietropinto directs and Julie McBride is music director.
