I'm thrilled to announce that we will be producingLong Day's Journey Into Night by Eugene O'Neill at the American Airlines Theatre, as part of our 50th Anniversary Season. The show will be directed by Jonathan Kent and will star Academy & Emmy Award winner Jessica Lange, Golden Globe winner & Tony nominee Gabriel Byrne, and Tony winner John Gallagher, Jr.

I'm excited to welcome Gabriel back to Roundabout - he was last seen on our stages in our 2005 production of O'Neill's A Touch of the Poet. I have wanted to work with both Jessica Lange and John Gallagher Jr. for years. Jessica played this role (Mary Tyrone) on the West End in 2000 - and garnered an Olivier Award nomination. She is one of the great actresses of her generation, both on-screen and on-stage. John Gallagher Jr., who won a Tony Award for Spring Awakening, and has spent the last few seasons starring in HBO's "The Newsroom," has proven he is one of the most exciting young actors working today.

And Jonathan Kent, who ran the Almeida Theatre in London for 12 years, has numerous West End, Broadway, and Opera credits to his name (including Hamlet, Man of La Mancha, Sweeney Todd, Private Lives, and Good People). I know he will do a phenomenal job of bringing this iconic American play to life.
