Jelena Stupljanin, the lead in Academy Award-winner Danis Tanovic's latest film, Cirkus Columbia, opens The United Solo Festival on Theatre Row in REVOLTING WOMEN/WomanBomb/Sade.

DATE: United Solo Festival Opening Night, Monday, November 8, 2010 - 7 pm (running time: 30 min.)

A woman walks into a public place and explodes. Do we know her? Do we want to? Do we care? Woman Bomb/Sade is the shadow that stalks us, there, rising into view, seductive, appalling, pathetic and funny. When suicide became a political weapon, a woman used it...like anything else.

Revolting Women/WomanBomb/Sade is written by Allan Graubard and Caroline McGee (www.newgenerussian.com)with excerpts adapted from "La Femme Bombe" by Ivana Sajko and Philosophy in the Bedroom by the Marquis de Sade. Tanovic's Cirkus Columbia is currently showing in the Toronto, Venice, San Sebastien, Sao Paolo, Sarajevo & Beirut international film festivals. Also contributing are Alice Farley (www.alicefarleydancetheater.com), Dmitry Troyanovsky (www.dmitryt.com) and Sofija Mesicek.
