Harlem Stage, in partnership with producers Revive Da Live, presents its annual FREE outdoor summer concert (part of the Uptown Nights music series) featuring musician/DJ/composer Miguel Atwood-Ferguson with his world-class contemporary ensemble and special guests including Jose James and Pharoahe Monch.

INFO: Miguel Atwood-Ferguson's performance embraces classic and contemporary jazz, hip-hop, and R&B, and features original music, covers of unreleased tracks by the late producer J Dilla, and a tribute to legendary blues artist and poet Gil Scott-Heron.
Guest performers include jazz vocalist Jose James and hip-hop artist/emcee Pharoahe Monch. Singer/rapper Taylor McFerrin opens; J. Period is the evening's DJ.
In addition to the live music, concert guests enjoy food and hand-made products from local vendors, and an American Airlines raffle.
Miguel Atwood-Ferguson is a Los Angeles-based multi-instrumentalist, DJ, composer, music director, producer, and music educator. His work pushes contemporary classical music forward while grounding it in African-American musical traditions, hip-hop and jazz. Fresh, relevant, and innovative, Atwood-Ferguson has performed with dozens of the industry's hottest musicians, from Shakira to Wyclef Jean and
Stevie Wonder.
