The Performing Arts Project today announced The New York Series, a one-day master class event on January 14, 2012 at Pearl Studios with classes taught by Performing Arts Project faculty members:

Performing Arts Project Artistic Director Jonathan Bernstein (Broadway Assistant Director, Chicago, Broadway Associate Director, The Iceman Cometh); Broadway performer Grady McLeod Bowman (Broadway: Billy Eliot, Wonderland, South Pacific, The Pirate Queen); Broadway Casting Director and Producer Dave Clemmons (Wonderland, Driving Miss Daisy, The Boy From Oz); Actor Josh Cooke (Currently playing Louis Greene on Showtime’s Dexter, past credits: series regular on ABC’s Better With You and NBC’s Big Day); Two-time Tony-nominated Broadway performer Gavin Creel (Hair, La Cage aux Folles, Thoroughly Modern Millie); Drama Desk-nominated Parallel Exit creator and dancer Ryan Kasprzak (FOX’s So You Think You Can Dance; Dance Captain, International Tour of Fosse); Actor Monica Raymund (Currently playing Dana Lodge on CBS’s The Good Wife, past credits: series regular on FOX’s Lie to Me); Producer and Broadway Casting Director Nikole Vallins (Broadway: Irving Berlin’s White Christmas, Finian’s Rainbow).

The Performing Arts Project’s unique New York Series will be an exciting full day of intense work led by some of the industry’s most respected individuals from Broadway, film and television. In addition to classes, the day will also include a faculty panel discussion and Q&A session about the business side of the entertainment industry.

“It has been said that the challenge of education is not to prepare people for success, but to prepare them for failure. In vigorously emphasizing a wide-ranging developmental approach – paving the way for the student to reach his or her true potential as not only artist, but collaborator and leader and citizen – The Performing Arts Project seeks to nourish a generation of performers who cannot fail to succeed," says Performing Arts Project Artistic Director Jonathan Bernstein.
