August 4th through August 17th, the Gallery Henoch features "StopMotion," an exhibition which includes work by Chris Armstrong, Kim Cogan, David Kassan, Patti Oleon, Alexandra Pacula, Gary Ruddell and Eric Zener.

The manifesto from an Italian collective of painters called the Futurists, written in 1909, espouses a love of speed, technology and violence. The application of these powerful thoughts fueled a decade of painters who sought to transform static painting into visually kinetic compositions.

One hundred years later, artists remain invigorated as they capture our kinetic world. Utilizing still shots from video and timed exposure, painters are emboldening compositions. This show highlights seven painters who interpret on canvas actions and movements.
