GOOD & KISSED by Miranda Jonte has been extended after its initial two-show run earlier this month.

GOOD & KISSED was selected from thousands of submissions to be featured in the Midtown International Theatre Festival (MITF) in New York City this summer.

GOOD & KISSED is produced by Hey Jonte! Productions and will be presented once again on July 28th at 9:15pm at the Main Stage Theatre. (312 West 36th St)

Funny story about GOOD & KISSED: what began as a story told in passing by Jonte to a friend, became a Facebook post at the friend's suggestion, which then became a one-woman show after Jonte was approached by a literary manager to adapt and expand the piece. She initially declined, but was persuaded to give it a go. G&K tells the story of a woman who loses her way, then finds herself again in the most unexpected of places: on a family trip to South Carolina.

'Lots of ceiling fans, that indelibly sexy scent of sunscreen, sand everywhere, and a young, handsome, small-business owner. Never saw that coming.'

GOOD & KISSED was developed over the course of one month with director Chelsea Thaler. Stage manager is Becky Abramowitz.

Jonte is also simultaneously in pre-production for her new play, THE SHARK PLAY, which goes up at the Samuel French OOB Fest this August. THE SHARK PLAY was one of 30 scripts selected by Sam French.

Hey Jonte! Productions has been in operation since 2013, premiering new play GREASEMONKEY downtown, a story about a woman taking over a vintage car restoration company in the wake of her father's death, who finds herself in a love triangle.

Jonte teamed up with GREASEMONKEY director Stephen Brotebeck, and from there, Hey Jonte! took John Minigan's BREAKING THE SHAKESPEARE CODE to Chicago for its professional premiere, before bringing it back to NYC for New York International Fringe Fest. It garnered raves and sold out houses. The following summer, Jonte's new play, ST. FRANCIS debuted at FringeNYC.

ST. FRANCIS won a best directing award, and was selected for publication in The Best Plays from American Theater Festivals 2015 (Applause Books)

Jonte was just awarded the Puffin Grant this week to turn her play, GREASEMONKEY, into a feature film in 2018.
