For Jeremy Cowart creative inspiration is everywhere - from humanitarian efforts in Haiti, Africa and Rwanda; the beauty of an individual or family portrait; or even the unique lines and textures of a concrete floor.  His creativity knows no bounds.

In this latest G-ACADEMY educational series, G-Technology is proud to highlight G-TEAM member Jeremy Cowart - a photographer, artist, humanitarian, app creator and teacher. Having photographed many musicians, entertainers and celebrities, Cowart is also the founder of Help-Portrait, a worldwide movement of photographers giving more than 169,000 free portraits to those less fortunate. In our next two webisodes, G-Technology takes you behind-the-scenes of Cowart's latest project - a photo shoot with country singer and Broadway star Laura Bell Bundy. Having photographed many famous celebrities such as Taylor Swift, Tim Tebow, Sting, Heidi Klum, Gwyneth Paltrow and Ryan Seacrest, Cowart openly shares tips and tricks as well as unique techniques to capture and blend the process of drawing, animation and photography into one - layering hundreds of images to create a compelling portrait. In this exclusive footage, G-Technology captures and showcases multiple angles of his creative process with commentary from Cowart on how he gets the best results from his gear, his subjects and his creativity.

In part one of this series Jeremy takes us through his creative capture process in the studio and shows us his distinctive capture techniques, including painting with light using an iPhone® and shooting digital cameras through the viewfinders of antique film cameras. In the second webisode, Jeremy explains his multi-layer post-production technique - merging multiple photographs and drawings of Laura Bell into a final piece of art to convey her many artistic faces; building on a process he has previously used to great effect for the music artist Imogen Heap. Along the way he shares his tips and tools, including cameras, software, pen-enabled Wacom® display and G-Technology advanced storage systems.

"It's exciting to be partnering with G-Technology and its G-ACADEMY series. There are a lot of synergies between my work and G-Technology's brand values as we both aspire to build a platform that fosters, encourages and inspires creativity in others," said Jeremy Cowart. "While I'm most proud of my non-profit, Help-Portrait, I'm always looking for ways to improve, share, teach and give back to those around me, and G-Technology's G-ACADEMY program provides a unique platform to do so."

"Jeremy is one of the most inspirational people we know," said Mike Williams, Vice President and General Manager, HGST Branded Business. "Not only is he interested in evolving and sharing his creative process, he gives back to the community via his Help-Portrait project and through his support of humanitarian issues around the world. We are honored to have him as a G-TEAM member and participant in our G-ACADEMY program."

G-ACADEMY is an educational program that consists of a series of video workshops that captures filmmakers and photographers while they work, and provides behind-the-scenes views of their processes.

The first G-ACADEMY webisode takes viewers behind-the-scenes of independent filmmaker and G-TEAM member Sebastien Montaz-Rosset's latest project, "Summits of My Life." This series documents the quest by world-champion ski mountaineer, Kilian Jornet, who is running up the highest mountains in the world - starting with Mont Blanc in 2012 and finishing with an exciting expedition to the roof of the world, Mount Everest in 2015. Shooting at nearly 11,000 feet on Grands Montets in France, Montaz-Rosset shares with viewers his creative philosophy as he works on the ground with a DSLR and via a remote control aerial drone to capture the intense nature of mountain running.
