Edward Koren's second exhibition at Luise Ross Gallery features his original drawings for cartoons published in The New Yorker. He presents the quotidian human condition through the recognizable guy at the bar, the dating scene, and shopping, our quintessential American pastime.

A suite of five lithographs printed at Idem Editions, Paris will also be included. In these, as well as in many of the drawings, almost pre-?historic looking creatures cross the landscape by bike on hill and dale. Koren's fascination with cycling is a continuous thread in his work. As his sure line maneuvers across the page the bicycle becomes not just a mode of transportation for the body, but the soul as well.

The dates for the gallery are March 5-April 11 with the recepton taking place March 7 from 3-5pm.
