Vegas based comedian Don Barnhart and his Battle Comics - Comedy Tour will once again suit up to bring their laughter to the troops serving in the US Armed Forces in 2016. Due to security, exact bases cannot be disclosed but the Battle Comics will visit Afghanistan, Iraq as well as other locations throughout Southwest Asia.

Don Barnhart's experience as both a comedian and tour manager are un-paralleled as he has been entertaining and producing comedy shows for the troops since 1992. Barnhart, himself an award-winning comedian was one of the first groups of entertainers to go into Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom and he and his team are experienced in "performing in the field".

"I have seen what a laugh can do. It can transform almost unbearable tears into something bearable, even hopeful." - Bob Hope

Barnhart's Battle Comics - World Tour is dedicated to bringing the highest caliber of talent to those serving in the military. From comedy legend George Wallace to comedians from The Tonight Show, Conan, Comedy Central and more, Don Barnhart's Battle Comics is considered the "A" list of comedy talent.

The Battle Comics first tour for 2016 will feature 4 of the top comedians working today going to remote bases, ships and pretty much anywhere there are troops. Unlike bands, comedy shows are the easiest to produce, travel light and can get in and out of the most remote locations with ease. Often times, they have done shows without the aide of a sound or light system.

Don Barnhart will be leading the first leg of the 2016 Battle Comics World featuring Jeff Capri from Comics Unleashed, Slade Ham from XM/Sirius Satellite Radio, Bob Kabota from Las Comic Standing and Jordan Brady from the documentary I Am Comic.

Besides being a regular headliner on the Vegas strip, Don Barnhart's film career has really been taking off. Don can be seen in Finding The Funny with Brad Garrett and Louie Anderson, he plays a disgruntled comedian in Tribute To Fluffy and appears as the crazed shooter in the web series, Max Justice.

Barnhart is also the host and director of The Freedom of Speech Comedy Series, directed and appears in The Ice House 50th Anniversary Comedy Special and wrote, directed and stars in the indie thriller, China Dolls.

Bryan "Bear" Patridge LTC, MP Commander tells of the importance of humor, "When I was in Iraq on my third tour, we had the comics come to our FOB (Forward Operating Base). It was that one show that everyone knew they could come to and let loose and they were going to be entertained. Humor is a stress reliever. Combat zone or not, life for Soldiers is just plain tough at times."

Barnhart and his team have performed on flight lines, aircraft carriers, in huts and on flatbeds. The Battle Comics Tours have been to war zones and resorts, embassies and palaces and Don and his team have performed for The USO, Comics On Duty, Armed Forces Entertainment, DOD as well as producing his own individual tours.

In order to bring more comedy shows to the troops, Battle Comics is in need of extra funding. "The government only allocates a specific amount of money for their entertainment and when it's gone, there are no more shows so we need donors of all kinds to help underwrite and support bringing more quality entertainment to those serving our country," said Barnhart.

Brian S. Hornback, CMSgt, USAF wrote to Barnhart after one of his tours and said, "Your simple act of gratitude, support and dedication to the men and women in the United States Military not only defines what makes our country so great but remind us of what we're fighting for. Simple acts go a long way in reminding everyone who wears a uniform of what's important. It is even clearer when celebrities take a moment to show their gratitude as you have so graciously done. Your contributions go a long way in showing us that you remember, as we do, that what we are fighting for is important. The value of your simple act cannot be overstated. The positive effects it brings on the men and women in United States Military are displayed daily by their continued commitment to serve even through trying times."
