Crystal Finn, Ivan Howe and More to Star in THE SAVIORS Off-Broadway
The full cast of The Saviors features Crystal Finn, Ivan Howe, Julius Rinzel, and Stanley Simons.
Atlantic Theater Company has revealed the cast for the world premiere of The Saviors by Bubba Weiler and directed by Jack Serio.
The cast of The Saviors will feature Crystal Finn (Birthday Candles – Roundabout), Ivan Howe (Netflix’s “Eric”), Julius Rinzel (The Antiquities – Playwrights Horizons), and Stanley Simons (The Iron Claw).
The Saviors will now begin performances at the Linda Gross on July 8 and opens on July 27, for a limited engagement through August 8.
When a lost young man takes shelter in their church, two altar boys desperately cling to each other as their changing faiths, lives, and bodies threaten to tear them apart.
The Saviors will feature sets by David Zinn, costumes by Avery Reed, lights by Stacey Derosier, sound by Leah Gelpe, and casting by The Telsey Office: Will Cantler, CSA. Ashley-Rose Galligan will serve as the Production Stage Manager.
Crystal Finn
(Judy). Broadway: Birthday Candles (Roundabout). Recent Off-Broadway: Cold War Choir Practice (Clubbed Thumb/MCC/P73), Deep Blue Sound (Clubbed Thumb). Other New York Theater includes world premiere plays at Playwrights Horizons, MTC, Roundabout Underground, WP, PlayCo, 59E59, Fulcrum, The Pool. Crystal is an affiliated artist with Clubbed Thumb Theater where she has performed and developed dozens of new works including Will Arbery’s Plano, as well as her own play Find Me Here. Film/TV: Babes, Kinda Pregnant, Sixteen Words or Less, “The Tick.” Crystal is a winner of the Theater World Award for her Broadway Debut in Birthday Candles and is nominated for a Lucille Lortel award for Cold War Choir Practice. She is a recent recipient of the NYSCA grant and is under commission as a writer with Fiasco Theater Company.
IVAN HOWE
(Michael) is making his Atlantic Theater Company debut in The Saviors. Previously seen as Edgar in Netflix's “Eric,” Ivan has also enjoyed being on stage in upstate New York and Connecticut, playing Oliver on the mainstage at the Sharon Playhouse, Peter Pan, a young Josh Baskin in Big, and Michael in Elf.
Julius Rinzel
(Paul) is thrilled to be part of The Saviors at Atlantic Theater Company this summer. He made his Off-Broadway debut in The Antiquities at Playwrights Horizons, written by Jordan Harrison and directed by David Cromer. He co-starred as Alex in the independent film A Beautiful Voice and has participated in developmental readings of new plays & musicals. Currently a freshman at the Professional Performing Arts School, Julius will be attending LaGuardia High School next year.
STANLEY SIMONS
(Julian) credits include a standout performance in Sean Durkin’s A24 film The Iron Claw, alongside Zac Efron, Jeremy Allen White, and Harris Dickinson. He will next be seen in Jeremy Saulnier’s A24 thriller October and in Via Negativa, the Tribeca selection directed by Hannah Peterson. Mile End Kicks, Chandler Levack’s romantic comedy set in Montreal’s 2000s indie-music scene which premiered at TIFF and SXSW and stars Stanley opposite Barbie Ferreira and Devon Bostick, is currently in theatres. He also appeared in the Sundance Dramatic Competition feature Superior and made his feature debut in Angelfish. Brooklyn-based, Stanley is also a musician.
