Corey Cott Joins Kim Cattrall In FOX's New Dramedy FILTHY RICH

According to Deadline, Corey Cott has joined the cast of FOX'S new series FILTHY RICH. Also announced to be joining the cast are Aubrey Dollar, Benjamin Aguilar and Mark L. Young. The drama-pilot comes from and will be directed by Tate Taylor, known for writing THE HELP.

Deadline shares that the series is "a larger-than-life Southern gothic dramedy that revolves around two strong, sharp women, Margaret Monroe (Cattrall) and Ginger Sweet, who will go to any length to protect their loved ones and get their due.

When the wealthy CEO of the world's largest Christian network dies in a plane crash, his wife and adult children are stunned to discover he has grown, illegitimate kids who are also in his will. When the steel azalea matriarch of THE FAMILY tries to pay them to go away, these newly legitimized heirs have very different ideas and insist on not only staying in town but becoming part of THE FAMILY empire."

Corey Cott, a graduate of the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama, has quickly established himself as an actor both onstage and onscreen. His stage successes include originating the role of Donny Novitski in the Tony-winning musical Bandstand and two years in the role of Jack Kelly in Disney's Newsies (Broadway debut), as well as playing Gaston Lachaille opposite Vanessa Hudgens in the Broadway revival of Gigi. On television, Cott portrayed writer Townsend Martin opposite Christina Ricci in the Amazon series Z: The Beginning of Everything, and can be seen in a recurring role on The Good Fight (CBS All Access). Cott costarred alongside Hattie Morahan in the BBC and PBS miniseries My Mother and Other Strangers. He appeared in the Amazon pilot The Interestings and has guest-starred on Madam Secretary, Public Morals, and Law and Order: SVU. A native of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, Cott made his solo concert debut at the KENNEDY Center's ASCAP Centennial Celebration and starred in the National Symphony Orchestra's West Side Story in Concert. He recently made his Carnegie Hall debut singing with the New York Pops.
