Concrete Timbre and AWCANYC Present First Collaboration Autumn Salon

Concrete Timbre and AWCANYC join to present their first collaborative salon featuring 12 short new compositions for and eclectic ensemble of Flute, Trumpet, and Trombone by 11 composers wanting to develop their art by working outside their comfort zone to create challenging new compositions.

Autumn Salon features the return of many affiliated artists and features music ranging from jazz to classical.

Performers include: Michelle Stockman (Flute, Piccolo), Kate Amrine (Trumpets), and Jacob Elkin (Trombone/Bass Trombone) with special guest performers: Jasper Davis (Bass Trombone), and Rose Xiu Yi Kow (Violin).

Composers are: Ana Paola Santillán Alcocer, Tom Blatt, Sunhee Cho, Jacob Elkin, Alona Epstein, Stephanie Greig, Jin Hee Han, Peri Mauer, Robert Morton, Claudia Jane Scroccaro, and Ann Warren.

Concrete Timbre is a composer-driven performance collective. The foundation of our art is to add to the contemporary music canon with bold interdisciplinary performances by creating opportunities for composers to work in multidisciplinary settings that often defy categorization.

AWCANYC is a composers' cooperative with composers from all backgrounds and representing diverse ethnic, religious and socio-economic backgrounds. It aims to empower composers to create change in their communities through music, allowing them to share their stories.
