Comix Announces Their June Headliners

Opened in September 2006 in Manhattan's booming Meatpacking District, Comix has quickly defined itself as the premier Comedy Club in New York City. Comix is Zagat's highest rated comedy venue, and was dubbed "one of the top six clubs in the country" by the Hollywood Reporter. Comix was also named the top headliner club in New York City by both GrandLife and Digital City.

ANDY KINDLER AND EUGENE MIRMAN

These alt comedy legends are two of the most respected comedians around. Eugene Mirman is constantly performing live when he's not on your television. He had a recurring role on HBO's Flight of the Conchords and has appeared on Comedy Central with his own half hour special.

Andy Kindler is known in comedy circles as a trouble maker. He is a frequent guest and correspondent for The Late Show with David Letterman, as well as Late Night with Conan O'Brien. He is also often recognized for playing the life affirming character "Andy" on the Everybody Loves Raymond.

Tickets are $20 until May 31st, $25 afterward, plus a two drink minimum in the showroom.

Maria Bamford is quite a character, with lots of characters, and this June, you'll get to see her headline Comix. She is part of the very popular Comedians of Comedy, and has appeared on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and Jimmy Kimmel Live. In addition to having her own Comedy Central Presents, Maria has contributed voices for several Nickelodeon cartoons.

Tickets are $22 until June 7th, $27 afterwards, plus a two drink minimum in the showroom.

CHRISTIAN FINNEGAN

Christian Finnegan, co-star of TBS's new sitcom "Are We There Yet?", is headlining Comix! Finnegan is both a long time panelist on VH1's hit series "Best Week Ever", as well as a regular guest on MSNBC's "Countdown with Keith Olbermann". He can currently be seen as the best friend on "Are We There Yet?" the new TBS sitcom starring Terry Crews and Essence Atkins. Other credits include his own one hour DVD comedy special titled "Au Contraire", half-hour special, "Comedy Central Presents: Christian Finnegan" and numerous appearances on "The Today Show" and "The Early Show". You might also have caught him on "Chappelle's Show" playing Chad, the only white roommate in the infamous "Mad Real World" sketch.

Tickets are $23 until June 14th, $28 after, plus a two drink minimum in the showroom.

Michael Ian Black

Michael Ian Black is a multi-talented actor, writer, comedian and director. He's also a filmmaker, having written and directed the MGM DVD release, "Wedding Daze," starring Jason Biggs and Isla Fisher. He also wrote the original screenplay for "Run, Fatboy, Run" (2008), starring Simon Pegg and Thandie Newton under the direction of David Schwimmer.

Black's most recent comedy series, "Michael and Michael Have Issues," appeared on Comedy Central this past year. This marks his debut headlining appearance at Comix!

Tickets are $28 until June 21st, $33 after, plus a two drink minimum in the showroom.
