Comedian Suzanne Westenhoefer Set for Gallo Center for the Arts, 10/5
The first openly gay comedian to appear on television is bringing her 'brave, bold, comic gold' to the Gallo Center for the Arts on Saturday, October 5, at 8 pm. Tickets range in price from $25 to $45, and may be purchased online at GalloArts.org, by phoning (209) 338-2100, or at the Gallo Center ticket office, 1000 I Street in downtown Modesto. The show includes adult themes and language.For an additional $25, patrons can attend a post-show reception and meet the comedian in the Gallo Center's Carnation Room.Westenhoefer's ground-breaking career includes appearances on David Letterman, HBO, Bravo and Logo, as well as performances across the U.S. in theaters and clubs. Calling herself "the real deal in a world seeking to pump out reproductions, and the reigning shtick chick," Westenhoefer says her humor appeals to people of all walks of life--"young, old, gay, straight, lesbian, bi, and every descriptor imaginable in between. When you've lived life, you talk about it. When you're a gay comedienne living life, you really talk about it!"
