Feinstein's at the Regency, Michael Feinstein's swank cabaret located at the famed hotel, has announced its upcoming season of performances.

The season will kick off on Sept. 20 with a 95th-birthday celebration by the legendary Kitty Carlisle Hart; she will perform through Sept. 24.  From October 11th to October 22nd, Carol Channing (Hello, Dolly!, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes) will play what is her first major nightclub engagement since her days at the Empire Room of the Waldorf-Astoria. From September 27th to October 8th, jazz guitarist/singer John Pizzarelli will be joined by his father, guitarist Bucky Pizzarelli, before Michele Lee (Seesaw, The Tale of the Allergist's Wife) takes center stage from November 15th to 26th.  The holidays will be celebrated with performances by Feinstein (November 29th to Decemeber 30th, with a break between December 12th and 15th) and with a Christmas cabaret performed by Rebecca Luker (Show Boat, The Music Man, The Sound of Music).

A pianist and singer as well as a composer, arranger and all-around historian of American popular song, the Grammy-nominated Feinstein is the rare cabaret star to have a large, nationwide following.  He has released over 20 albums, most of which toast the songbooks of the greats of American popular standards and theatre music.  Among these are Nice Work if You Can Get It, Remember: Michael Feinstein Sings Irving Berlin, Such Sweet Sorrow, The MGM Album, Songbook albums featuring the music of Jerry Herman, Jule Styne and Burton Lane, and Romance on Film, Romance on Broadway.

Feinstein's at the Regency will celebrate its fifth anniversary this season. "This classic nightclub for a new generation is set in an intimate, elegant and comfortable room that seats 140 guests per show. Smaller café-style tables and chairs replace the restaurant's traditional furniture and the room has been equipped with a state-of-the-art audio system and special lighting, including theatrical gel lights," according to the website.

Feinstein's at the Regency is located at 540 Park Avenue.  For more information, visit www.feinsteinsattheregency.com.
