Casting is now complete for this Monday's reading of Love's Fire at New World Stages, which will benefit Opening Act, an innovative nonprofit that provides free after-school theater programming to New York City's most underserved public high schools.

Tony-nominated Amelia Campbell (Our Country's Good, The Herbal Bed) and Victor Slezak (The Graduate, Salome) join Tony winner Frank Wood (Side Man), Daniel Reichard (Jersey Boys), Keith Byron-Kirk (Miss Saigon, The Civil War), Harriett D. Foy (Once on This Island, Mamma Mia!), Keith Nobbs (The Lion in Winter), Zoe Lister-Jones (The Little Dog Laughed), Michael Mastro (Twelve Angry Men, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Kissing Jessica Stein) and Alicia Minshew ("All My Children") for the September 25th event.

The selected Love's Fire plays, inspired by Shakespearean sonnets, were written by Eric Bogosian, William Finn, Marsha Norman and Ntozake Shange.

Love's Fire is Opening Act's second annual benefit reading; last year's production of Neil Simon's Plaza Suite starred Broadway and television stars such as Laura Benanti, Michael Badalucco, Michael Berresse, Ilene Kristen and Alix Korey.

"Opening Act believes every student deserves a place to shine.  They provide the stage.  Theater is the medium through which their students gain confidence, pride and the knowledge that they can succeed at anything in life.  Currently providing after-school theater programs at five public high schools, Opening Act's mission is to see that every New York City public school student has access to an artistic space where they can develop commitment, community, and leadership through their artistic achievement."

Tickets range from $15-$100 and can be purchased at www.openingactnewyork.org

Love's Fire is being produced by special arrangement with The Acting Company.
