This weekend Cornelia Street Cafe (29 Cornelia Street) will host the 5th Annual Clean Feed Annual NYC Festival.  Friday at 8:30 PM the Festival kicks off with Peter Van Huffel, voice with Peter Van Huffel alto and soprano saxophones; Samuel Blaser on trombone and Michael Bates, bass on Friday at 8:30 PM.  At 9:45 PM Ivo Perelman, Daniel Levin and Reuben Radding with "Soulstorm."  At 11:00 PM RED trio + Nate Wooley "RED trio" will perform.  The full list events are listed below and more information is available at http://www.cleanfeed-records.com/.  Tickets for Friday and Saturday night are $20 or $10 for one set.  Sunday tickets are $15 ($10 for one set).

The producer, author, of a self named cd and dvd purchase on cd.baby.com and film baby.com with a strong focus on performance, she's a founding editor of Uphookpress, an annual judge and feature at Cuny college Poetry Festival, and she annually attends Juniper summer writers institute at UMass.

ROBERT GIBBONS is a unique spoken word artist who frequents many hot spots on the New York poetry scene. He has more than 15 years of teaching experience as a classroom teacher, and presently is a curriculum writer for the New York Junior Tennis League.

Does Your Mother Know?

Poetry Reading, featuring Deborah Landau, Brenda Shaughnessy, and Timothy Liu

Deborah Landau is the author of Orchidelirium, which won the Anhinga Prize for Poetry, and Blue Dark (forthcoming from Copper Canyon Press). Her poems have appeared in Triquarterly, The Paris Review, Tin House, The Kenyon Review, Poetry Daily, and The Best American Erotic Poems, among other publications. She co-hosts Open Book on Slate.com and is Director of the Creative Writing Program at NYU

Timothy Liu is the author of eight books of poems, most recently Polytheogamy and Bending the Mind Around the Dream's Blown Fuse. His poems have been translated into nine languages, and his journals and papers are archived in the Berg Collection at the New York Public Library. An Associate Professor of English at William Paterson University and a member of the Core Faculty in Bennington College's Graduate Writing Seminars, Liu lives in Manhattan.

Brenda Shaughnessy is the author of two books of poems: Interior with Sudden Joy and Human Dark with Sugar, which won the 2007 James Laughlin Award of the Academy of American Poets. Her poems have been published in Bomb, Conjunctions, McSweeney's, The New Yorker, The Paris Review, The Yale Review, and elsewhere.

Angelo Nikolopoulos is a retired high school teacher currently pursuing an MA at NYU's creative writing program, where he also serves as the managing editor of the Washington Square Review. He also works as a writing fellow at Goldwater Hospital on Roosevelt Island and is the founder of The White Swallow reading series.
