Emmy and Golden Globe-nominee Wendie Malick, currently on the boards in Roger Kirby's new Off-Broadway comedy Burleigh Grime$, is slated to make guest appearances on two of New York's top local morning news shows in the coming days.

On Thursday, June 8 at 8:45 a.m., Malick will appear live on the WB-11 Morning News (Time Warner Channel 11) to promote Bureleigh Grime$, in which she plays Elizabeth Bigley, a cunning and manipulative TV financial news anchor with more than a few "trade" secrets tucked under her belt.

On Tuesday, June 13 at 8:45 a.m., Malick will appear live on FOX-5 Good Day New York (TIme Warner Channel 5), coinciding with the show's official opening later that day (7 p.m. opening night curtain at Off-Broadway's New World Stages).

Malick is best-known to television audiences for her acclaimed portrayal of outrageous model-turned-fashion-editor Nina Van Horn on NBC's "Just Shoot Me." Her other notable TV credits include roles on "Frasier," "Dream On" and most recently "Jake in Progress." This fall, she will star in the new ABC Thursday night comedy "Big Day," opposite Marla Sokoloff and Josh Cooke.

Burleigh Grimes$, which began previews on May 23rd, also stars James Badge Dale, Mark Moses, Nancy Anderson, Jason Antoon, Ashley Williams and John Lavelle. "Set in a world where no bad deed goes unrewarded, Burleigh Grime$ follows George Radbourn (Dale), a Wall Street newbie who doesn't recognize that his mentor, Burleigh Grimes (Moses), may not be entirely sincere in appearance or agenda. A hard-driving stock market force, Grimes is a relentless man of infinite calculation, further assisted in his financial schemes by media powerhouse Elizabeth Bigley (Malick). In an arena where the naïve and sentimental face ruin, George struggles for survival under the hand of Grimes' flexible business tactics, while also dealing with the arrival of his college sweetheart, Grace Redding (Williams), who will soon have to face some difficult choices of her own," state press notes on the show, which is directed by David Warren.

T
he show features original music by two-time Tony and Grammy Award nominee David Yazbek (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, The Full Monty), performed by a live onstage band.

Burleigh Grime$ features set design by Jim Youmans, costume design by Gregory Gale, lighting design by Jeff Croiter, sound design by Peter Fitzgerald and choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler. The New York premiere of the play is presented by Lewis Productions.
