Broderick Set for TOWER HEIST Film

According to Deadline.com, stage and screen star Matthew Broderick is set to star in Brett Ratner's Tower Heist. Broderick joins previously announced Ben Stiller, Eddie Murphy, Alan Alda, Tea Leoni, Gabourey Sidibe and Michael Pena in the film.

Broderick will play Chase Fitzhugh, who is a Wall Street who's money is stolen by a house-arrested Alda. The film will be produced by Brian Grazer, with Karen Kehela Sherwood and Kim Roth as executive producers.

Broderick's Broadway credits include: The Producers, The Philanthropist, The Odd Couple, and Short Talks on the Universe.  He is perhaps best known fr playing the title character in Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Nick Tatopoulos in Godzilla, Inspector Gadget in Inspector Gadget, Jimmy Garrett in Project X and David Lightman in WarGames. He voiced the characters of the adult Simba in The Lion King and The Lion King II: Simba's Pride, Tack the Cobbler in The Thief and the Cobbler, Adam Flaymen in Bee Movie, alongside Jerry Seinfeld, and Despereaux in The Tale of Despereaux.
