The Broadway Musicals of 1956, the latest edition of the Broadway by the Year series and directed by Tony-nominee Emily Skinner, will take place at Town Hall (123 W. 43rd St.) on Monday, April 3rd at 8 PM.

In addition to Christine Andreas (The Scarlet Pimpernel, Oklahoma!), Brent Barrett (Chicago, Grand Hotel), Marc Kudisch (See What I Wanna See, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang) and Skinner (The Full Monty, Side Show) herself, The Broadway Musicals of 1956 will also boast the current Belle in Beauty in the Beast, Ashley Brown, as well as the current Max Bialystock in The Producers, John Treacy Egan. Also in the cast will be Devin Richard from The Pajama Game, Rachelle Rak from Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and leading cabaret artists Brandon Cutrell and Connie Pachl.

"One of this show's unique features," noted Scott Siegel, the creator/writer/host of the series, "will be the presence of two-time Tony nominee Christine Andreas who starred in the twentieth anniversary revival of My Fair Lady, which just so happens to have originated in 1956. I'm very excited about that and Christine, herself, is particularly delighted to revisit that score." Some of the other shows that were born on Broadway in 1956 include The Most Happy Fella, Li'l Abner, and Mr. Wonderful. "We've got great scores to draw upon and great singers to bring them to life. Having both Brent Barrett and Marc Kudisch in the same show is a lucky break. And having Emily Skinner return this year to direct again is yet another boon to the production."

Tickets for the show are $45 and $40. They are available at the box office or at TicketMaster: 212-307-4100.
