Broadway Kids Care (BKC), the organization of theater kids for kids (and others), will host its 2nd annual Bake Sale. Kids from such Broadway shows as Mary Poppins, South Pacific, Gypsy, The Little Mermaid, The Lion King and more, will sell baked goods and handmade potholders in Fireman's Park (48th Street between Broadway and 8th Ave.) between their matinee and evening performances on Wednesday, August 6 (3:30 – 7:00 p.m.). Proceeds from the Bake Sale will benefit the UNICEF/Pampers One Pack = One Vaccine Program, an international initiative to protect women and babies from preventable disease.
Kelly Gonda, founder of Broadway Kids Care and President of East of Doheny, feels "the best thing about BKC is that it allows the children to get together, become friends, have fun and do great things for others (and the parents get to know one another too)."Videos
