Barnes and Noble presents their July schedule of special events.

All events listed below take place at the Lincoln Triangle Barnes & Noble (1972 Broadway at 66th St.) in the third floor events space. As always, all performances are free and open to the public.
 
The Any Wednesday cabaret series for the month of July. Each features a half-hour music set by some of the best performers in cabaret today.
 
WEDNESDAY, JULY 9 AT 6:00 PM

Capathia Jenkins & Louis Rosen with special guest Nikki Giovanni
In this program that has been getting raves all over town, the swinging duo celebrate the writings of poet Nikki Giovanni set to music, bringing with them One Ounce of Truth. And our special guest that evening is Ms. Giovanni herself.
 
WENDESDAY, JULY 16 AT 6:00 PM

The award-winning singer and cabaret director is marking his return to performance with a program built around his charming album, Sing a Rainbow.

The MAC Award Nominee for Male Jazz Vocalist displays his taste for unique medleys and classic American tunes on his recording Fate Revealed by Design.
 
New, the Cool Mondays jazz series celebrates this American art form with a swinging vocalist and two exciting instrumentalists.

The sultry jazz vocalist sings classic standards, swinging jazz and gems from the unexplored corners of the great American songbook as she does on her new album, Magnet.

The jazz guitarist duo get hot with a mix of classic jazz by Chick Corea and Al Di Meola, as well as original material featured on their CD, Live.

The full cast and band of this highly acclaimed new musical presents a half-hour capsule version of this intense and innovative production with special host Austin Pendleton.
 
And finally, Barnes & Noble is pleased to be presenting two events in conjunction with the 6th Annual Fresh Fruit Festival, a celebration of the most exciting gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender artists today.

Fresh Fruit Festival: Stonewall Stories
Carol Polcover's award winning docu-drama based on eyewitness accounts of the Stonewall Rebellion. Joining Polcovar will be Dr. Rona Holub and pioneer playwright Doric Wilson.
