'Barackula - The Musical' To Debut Online in 2-Weeks
According to MTV a film featuring vampire Harvard students is slated to debut online within the next two weeks. The article states "during the most expensive presidential campaign in history, when some of the candidates are dropping more than $1 million a day on TV ads, you really have to wonder if that old saying about any publicity being good publicity still applies."
Similar to the existing new web-video by Will.I.Am entitled "Yes, We Can" (which shapes Obama's words into song), director Mike Lawson uses presidential-hopeful, Barack Obama's, own words as its material... "Only Barackula The Musica" uses them to tell the fictional story of a young Barack Obama fighting off vampires at his alma mater, Harvard Law School" explains MTV.Justin Sherman portrays Obama, as he struggles to ease the hearts and souls of a rebellious Ivy League vampire student-group, and teach that "opposing political philosophies can coexist or else the society may transform Obama to the dark side." The film features two original musical numbers, "Running" and "This Is Our Time," both co-written by Sherman.
