Broadway veteran Lindsay Mendez and pianist/band leader Marco Paguia were the first to perform in Lincoln Center's "American Songbook in the Penthouse" series on, March 29. In the concert, the duo drew from an eclectic mix of music, reimagining songs from popular music blending elements of jazz, soul & rock in the familiar setting of an acoustic piano trio and vocalist.

BroadwayWorld was there for the special concert event and we bring you exclusive highlights below!

The pair met in 2010 while working on the Broadway production of Everyday Rapture. When an opportunity to collaborate presented itself, the two quickly discovered their musical chemistry and formed a band. They have performed all over the city at venues such as Birdland, Joe's Pub, Feinstein's, and (Le) Poisson Rouge. The duo has just wrapped up work on their debut album, set for release later this spring.
