BWW Previews: AFTER THE SUCCESS OF BOLLYWOOD FILM 'OH MY GOD,'  Paresh Rawal's Another Play is being made Into A Movie

When the successful film Oh My God opened starring Paresh Rawal opened in theaters across India, it started a dialogue on blind faith and belief. The movie masterfully tackled many subjects plaguing the society in an interactive, entertaining way.

Coming from acting legend Paresh Rawal, one can expect that even a slap stick comedy comes with a deep message. And perhaps the actor who has an illustrious career in the field of theatre also understands that the stage is the best medium to get the message to the masses.

One of the actor's popular play is once again all set to turn another play into a movie. Dear Father, a family thriller, is to be made into a movie by Ashutosh Gowarikar. The film is scheduled to go on floor from May onwards with Paresh Rawal playing a double role. The play which opened on 9th of October 2011 has completed 600 shows. The story line follows a middle class family leading their lives amidst everyday challenges and joys. However behind their ordinary lives are extraordinary secrets just waiting to be discovered.

The Marathi version of the movie is all ready to release on the 9th of February and has Nana Patekar in the lead.
But you could watch the play on stage yet again before the movie hits the theaters. Dear Father will be staged on January 27 at Rangsharda at 8.00pm
