Art Mob Announces Spring 2018 Concerts

The Art Mob, an uncommon a cappella vocal group, wows audiences with an oddball mix of arcane, witty, and occasionally heartrending music from bygone days. The 13 - member Mob's inimitable offerings include Victorian parlor songs, Sacred Harp hymns, jazz and doo - wop, 1920s radio gospel, scary old children's ditties, Tin Pan Alley numbers, English folk tunes, temperance anthems - you name it.

Our Spring 2018 concert explores the wide world of suppression : Secrets and silence ; hats and rabbits ; whispering, whistling, and, of course, drinking. Songs as old as the hills and one as new as the 1980 ' s (and that's brand - new, for us), backed by wise and witty program notes that probably blurt out more than we intended, but hey, it's not easy keeping a lid on everything. '

The Art Mob is : Brent Frederick ( music director ), Connie Beckley, Hannah Campbell, Gaynor Coté, Martin Donach, Frank Donno, Richard Haas, Lauren Hsu, Amanda Keating, Anne Kostick, Paul Martin Kovic, Jaye Maynard, Dean Rainey, and Kirsten Skrinde.
