Arkin and Shields to Star in New NBC Fall Shows

According to Zap2It.com, NBC has unveiled a fall line-up of new shows that includes theatre stars Adam Arkin and Brooke Shields.

Arkin (I Hate Hamlet, Brooklyn Boy, "Chicago Hope") joins Damian Lewis, Melissa Sagemiller, Sarah Shahi and Robin Weigert in "Life," a crime drama about "a detective who was wrongly imprisoned for a crime (who) returns to the force after his release."

Shields (Wonderful Town, Chicago, "Suddenly Susan") will co-star with Kim Raver and Lindsay Price in the comedy/drama "Lipstick Jungle."  "A trio of high-powered New York executives support one another in their professional and personal lives. Based on Candace Bushnell's ("Sex and the City") novel."  The series will also star Julian Sands, Chris Wiehl, David Alan Basche and David Norona.

NBC's new shows also include a remake of the '70s hit "Bionic Woman," the comedy/drama "Chuck," the time-travel drama "Journeyman," the reality karaoke competition "The Singing Bee," the midseason comedy "The IT Crowd," and the reality dance competition "World Moves."
