BroadwayWorld has confirmed that Andy Richardson will replace Andrew Keenan-Bolger as 'Crutchie' in Newsies, which is currently playing at the Nederlander Theatre. As BroadwayWorld previously announced, Keenean-Bolger will soon leave the production to star in the pre-Broadway engagement of Tuck Everlasting at Boston's Citi Performing Arts Center. Richardson, who currently plays 'Romeo' will assume the role on March 11.

Richardson's additional Broadway credits include How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Gypsy.

Newsies features a score with music by eight-time Academy Award winner Alan Menken and lyrics by Jack Feldman, with a book by four-time Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein. Produced by Disney Theatrical Productions, Newsies is directed by Jeff Calhoun and choreographed by Christopher Gattelli.

The Broadway company of Newsies also features Corey Cott as Jack Kelly, Ron Raines as Joseph Pulitzer, Kara Lindsay as Katherine Plumber, LaVon Fisher-Wilson as Medda Larkin, Ben Fankhauser as Davey and Nicholas Lampiasi, and Jake Lucas alternating the role of Les.
