The class, which takes place from 10:30AM to 3:30PM, includes an interview with Andrea, and her long-time musical director and teaching partner, Shelly Markham and is open to the general public (as auditors). Andrea and Shelly will work with students on a variety of elements including, but not limited to, song interpretation and musical arrangements.

Auditors will be able to observe the artistic process of creation. The class concludes with a Q&A session for all in attendance.

In addition to being known as the "Queen of Cabaret," for over twenty years, Andrea been known throughout the country, as a compassionate and astute teacher of the art form she so dearly loves. In cities across America, from High School, to College, to Professional level workshops, Andrea has taught master classes on the art of cabaret. And for the past five years Andrea has spent a week, every August, at the prestigious Perry-Mansfield School in Colorado.
In Indianapolis, at her most recent class, the producer of the program had this to say, "The transformation from each singer's initial performance to their performance following Andrea's coaching was astounding."

A Perry-Mansfield student says, "I couldn't have asked for a more giving, more encouraging, more skilled teacher. And I know that cabaret students across the country would join me in my gratitude."

Andrea Marcovicci has created over thirty nightclub acts, sold out Carnegie Hall and Town Hall, and has appeared in concert with numerous orchestras, and at the White House. She has acted on and off-Broadway, and in films and TV. Costars include: Danny DeVito, Woody Allen, Sir Michael Caine, Sir John Gielgud, and Sam Waterston among others. This fall marks her unprecedented 25th season at the Oak Room of the Algonquin Hotel. Ms. Marcovicci will star in "Easy to Love: Andrea Marcovicci and Jeff Harnar Sing Cole Porter" in celebration of the composer's 120th Birthday on Thursday, June 9th at Town Hall.

Shelly Markham is an accompanist, composer, and arranger who has worked with Lainie Kazan, Bonnie Franklin, Margaret Whiting, Nell Carter, Ann Jillian, Joey Lawrence, and Michael Feinstein, among others. He's a contributor to the Off-Broadway revue "Naked Boys Singing."
