Andrea Marcovicci Celebrates CD Release with Concert Series

Andrea Marcovicci - the celebrated singer and actress has announced the release of her new CD "Andrea Marcovicci Sings Rodgers & Hart" through her label Andreasong. The disc features classic standards such as "My Funny Valentine," "Thou Swell" and "My Heart Stood Still"; infrequently recorded songs like "Jupiter Forbid," "If I Were You" and "Can't You Do A Friend A Favor?"; as well as the world premiere recording of the song "What's The Use."

She is celebrating the release of the CD with a nine week run in New York at the Oak Room of the Algonquin Hotel (59 West 44th Street) from November 13 to January 12. Please call (212) 419-9331 for reservations.

Andrea will also perform in a special free in-store concert and CD signing at 5:30 PM on Tuesday, November 20 at Barnes & Noble Lincoln Center (1972 Broadway at 66th Street). In addition to songs from the Rodgers & Hart CD, she will be joined by Maude Maggart, Jeff Harnar, Barbara Brussell and Anna Bergman to perform selections from the Andreasong CD Kurt Weill in America.

"Andrea Marcovicci Sings Rodgers & Hart" will be available at her shows at the Oak Room starting Tuesday, November 13 and through www.Marcovicci.com starting on Tuesday, November 27. The disc also features Shelly Markham as Musical Director, arranger, and pianist, as well as Kevin Axt on bass. The recording was produced by Mr. Markham and Lesley Alexander. Doug Aycock serves as executive producer and Ms. Marcovicci is executive producer for Andreasong.
