Vicious gangster Eddie Falco is brutally murdered & is approached by Nick, the devil. Seems Eddie's the spitting image of Nick's hated mortal enemy, Theodore Parker, an incorruptible New York State judge. Out to destRoy Parker, Nick offers Eddie a deal, "Let me put you in Parker's body & you can get the guy who killed ya," but Eddie's street-savvy actions as Parker don't turn out quite the way that Nick had envisioned.
