Ken Davenport and Robyn Goodman, in association with Walt Grossman, Ruth Hendel, Sharon Karmazin, Matt Murphy and Mark Shacket, proudly announce that ALTAR BOYZ, the new acclaimed musical comedy at Dodger Stages, which has been nominated for BEST MUSICAL by all four theater awards organizations – the Drama Desk, the Drama League, the Outer Critics Circle, and the Lucille Lortel Awards, will release its debut CD (from SH-K-BOOM) at the theater only, for two weeks, beginning Tuesday, May 3rd. CDs will be sold at all performances.

A special pre-show time, from 6 to 7 pm on Tuesday, May 3rd only, has been set for buyers to purchase the CD. And as a special offer for those early-bird buyers, they can also purchase a ticket for the performance that evening at 8 pm for only $25. (Proof of CD purchase required).

No other show, on or off-Broadway received all four Best Musical nominations! ALTAR BOYZ also received the most nominations for any off-Broadway show for the Drama Desk Awards.

Armed with catchy melodies, divine moves and product in their hair, ALTAR BOYZ is the new musical comedy where the acclaimed apostles of pop bring their soul-soothing tour to New York City, with their heavenly lyrics like "Girl, You Make Me Wanna Wait." Featured in the cast are Scott Porter as Matthew; Ryan Duncan as Juan; David Josefsberg as Abraham; Andy Karl takes on Luke, Tyler Maynard continues as Mark, the youngest of the ALTAR BOYZ; with Shadoe Stevens as the voice of G.O.D.

ALTAR BOYZ is directed by Stafford Arima and choreographed by Christopher Gattelli. ALTAR BOYZ has music and lyrics by Gary Adler and Michael Patrick Walker with book by Kevin Del Aguila, based on a concept by Marc Kessler and Ken Davenport. The creative team includes scene design by Anna Louizos, costume design by Gail Brassard, lighting design by Natasha Katz and sound design by Simon Matthews. Lynne Shankel will serve as Music Director and Co-Orchestrator with Doug Katsaros.

Performances are Tuesday through Friday evenings at 8 pm, Saturday at 2 pm and 8 pm, and Sundays at 3pm and 7 pm, at Dodger Stages, Stage 4 (340 West 50th Street). Beginning Monday, May 30th, performances will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 8 pm, Saturday at 2 pm and 8 pm, and Sunday at 3 pm and 7 pm. Tickets will be $69.75 for all performances. (Restoration charge included).
