A Class Act NY Sets Upcoming Summer Classes

For the eleventh summer in a row, A Class Act NY is offering a half-dozen unique acting camps for young actors, ages 5-18.

What makes A Class Act NY summer programs so special? All of ACANY's programs are taught by prominent Broadway actors and in some cases, industry professionals as well! Previous teachers include Broadway stars such as Andrew Chappelle (HAMILTON, MAMMA MIA!), Lisa Brescia (WICKED, MAMMA MIA!, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR), Briana Carlson-Goodman (LES MISERABLES, HAIR) and more!

A Class Act NY offers all skill level and by audition only programs for the more advanced student. Select programs are sold out or near capacity. The award-winning, one-week camps in New York City will run through June, July, and August 2016.

Students interested in musical theatre can choose between ACANY's all skill level signature programs, Camp ACA or Broadway Boot Camp, or their by audition only intensive, The Pre-Professional Program. This summer, ACANY is launching a new exciting musical theatre program, Cabaret Camp. Younger students, ages 5-6, will have a great time making friends and learning song-and-dance combos in The Little Guys Camp this July.

In addition to musical theatre programs, ACANY offers the non-musical theatre performer an opportunity to hone their stage and screen acting chops in Thespian Theatre Camp, for ages 7-18.

Select programs include a variety of workshops throughout the week with guest Broadway performers in improvisation, stage combat, intro to Shakespeare, audition technique, Broadway dance and stage makeup! Many programs also include a Broadway matinee and a talkback with the cast after the show! All camps will culminate in a final showcase performance for friends and family, where campers will show off everything they learned either in the studio or at an actual Off-Broadway Theatre!

All programs are split into small groups according to age so everyone gets the attention they deserve!
