90 MILLAS to Bring Aymée Nuviola to Sanctuary of the Arts

Grammy and Latin Grammy Award-winning Cuban vocalist Aymée Nuviola will take audiences on an emotional musical journey when she performs 90 Millas on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. at Sanctuary of the Arts, 410 Andalusia Ave. in Coral Gables.

Presented by Williamson Cadillac, 90 Millas was created to celebrate the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month and the enduring cultural connection between Miami and Cuba.

Through Nuviola's powerful voice and unmistakable Cuban musical style, the concert will explore nostalgia, memory, family roots and the experience of a community that has preserved its heritage across generations. The title-Spanish for '90 Miles'-refers to the approximately 90 miles separating Cuba from South Florida.

Although the distance between the two shores may be short, it represents a profound emotional journey for generations of Cuban immigrants and their families. 90 Millas honors the music, traditions and memories that continue to keep Cuba alive in Miami and throughout the diaspora.

Known internationally as 'La Sonera del Mundo,' Nuviola is an acclaimed singer, pianist, composer and actress whose music embraces salsa, son, timba, jazz, bolero and other Afro-Cuban traditions. Her commanding stage presence, vocal versatility and ability to blend traditional Cuban sounds with contemporary influences have earned her audiences around the world.

Nuviola received the 2020 Grammy Award for Best Tropical Latin Album for A Journey Through Cuban Music. She has also received multiple Latin Grammy honors, including awards for Como Anillo al Dedo and her collaboration with renowned Cuban pianist Gonzalo Rubalcaba. As an actress, she portrayed the adult Celia Cruz in the television series Celia, introducing her talents to an even wider international audience.

Located in the heart of Coral Gables, Sanctuary of the Arts provides an intimate setting for this special evening celebrating Cuban music, identity and the powerful ties that connect communities across generations.
