Additional surprise guests to be announced.
"Cats and comedians go hand in hand - they're funny and they speak truth to power! Exactly what we need in these dark times," said host Amanda B. "That's why I'm bringing NYC cat lovers together for a night of trivia, games and humor in honor of the animal kingdom's original comedians!"
6 Degrees of Cats, named a top 10 pet podcast by Lifehacker and winner of the Ear Worthy Indie Award for "Best Nature Podcast" (2025), explores the surprising ways cats have shaped human history and culture around the world, from ancient Egyptian deities to Satan's familiars to jazz-age icons. Each episode features expert guests, including New York Times bestselling author Tricia Hersey, M.Div., Animal Planet star Jackson Galaxy, and Nordic folklorist Terry Gunnell, Ph.D., unpacking these questions with lifelong cat steward Amanda B. ("Captain Kitty") in a show The Cat Museum of NYC calls "the Radiolab of cats." Subscribe wherever you listen to podcasts and follow @6degreesofcats on social media.
