The writers of 59th Annual Tony Awards, Dave Boone and John Macks, were honored today with a Writers Guild of America nomination in the Comedy/Variety - Music, Awards, Tributes, Specials category. The show was written by Dave Boone, with special material written by John Macks. This is the second year in a row that The Tony Awards have been honored with a WGA nomination in this category. The Tony Awards are presented by the League of American Theatres and Producers and the American Theatre Wing and this year's show was broadcast on the CBS Television Network on June 5, 2005.

The 60th Annual American Theatre Wing's Antoinette Perry "Tony" Awards® will be broadcast live on the CBS television network from Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, June 11, 2006. The Tony Awards are presented by the League of American Theatres and Producers and the American Theatre Wing.

The Tonys are presented by the League of American Theatres and Producers and the American Theatre Wing. At the League, Gerald Schoenfeld is Chairman and Jed Bernstein is President. At the Wing, Sondra Gilman is Chairman, Doug Leeds is President and Howard Sherman is Executive Director. For Tony AwaRD Productions, Elizabeth I. McCann is Managing Producer and Joey Parnes is Coordinating Producer.

Ricky Kirshner and Glenn Weiss/White Cherry Entertainment were Executive Producers of the 2005 Tony Awards. In addition, Glenn served as Director of the 2005 Tonys. Ricky Kirshner and Glenn Weiss/White Cherry Entertainment are Executive Producers of the 2006 Tony Awards. Mr. Weiss will also serve as Director of the 2006 Tony Awards.
