5 LESBIANS EATING A QUICHE to Open at Pony World Theatre in Seattle

Pony World Theatre (PWT) has announced their fall mainstage production–5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche. Seattle Theatre dame Kate Jaeger directs this joyfully rebellious comedy. In it, the widowed members of the Susan B. Anthony Society for the Sisters of Gertrude Stein are hosting their annual Quiche Breakfast. Attendees can feel assured that the newly renovated Community Center has a top-of-the-line Atomic Bomb shelter. This hilarious and ribald romp might have a flair for retro, but PWT intend 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche to be a balm for the beleaguered living in our modern times. Winner of the 2012 NYC International Fringe Festival. Performs at 12th Ave Arts from October 22 - November 14.

It's 1956 and The Susan B. Anthony Society for the Sisters of Gertrude Stein are having their annual quiche breakfast.  It is the social season's most anticipated celebration! As the assembled “widows” await the announcement of the society's prize-winning quiche, the atomic bomb sirens sound! Has the Communist threat come to pass? How will the “widows” respond as their idyllic town and lifestyle faces attacks? Remember, a woman is never as safe as when she is when she is with another woman. 5 Lesbians Eating A Quiche is a tasty recipe of hysterical laughs, sexual innuendoes, unsuccessful repressions, and delicious discoveries.
