250 'Times' Ticket Buyers to Receive Free Dylan CDs, 9/10

On Sunday, September 10, 2006, the first 250 The Times They Are A-Changin' customers at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre Box Office will receive a copy of Bob Dylan's critically acclaimed new CD, "Modern Times," with any ticket purchase. 

"Modern Times," released on August 29, debuted at #1 on Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart.

In addition, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., all customers will have an opportunity to meet the cast of TheTimes They Are A-Changin' and receive a free, personally autographed show poster. The Brooks Atkinson Theatre is located at 256 W. 47th St.

Later that morning, the cast of The Times They Are A-Changin', led by Michael Arden, will perform the celebrated Dylan anthem "Blowin' in the Wind" as part of the free 15th annual Broadway on Broadway concert in Times Square.

Conceived, directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Twyla Tharp and told through the legendary songs of one of America's most renowned music icons, Bob Dylan, The Times They Are A-Changin' will begin previews on Monday, September 25, 2006 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre.  Opening Night is scheduled for Thursday, October 26.

"Set within a traveling circus, The Times They Are A-Changin' tells the timeless story of two generations at odds . . .  and of a young man who breaks free from his father's expectations to find his place in the world," according to notes on the show.

The musical stars Michael Arden (Big River), Thom Sesma (Man of La Mancha) and Caren Lyn Manuel (Rent), and features  Lisa Gajda (Spamalot, Movin' Out), Neil Haskell, Jason McDole (Twyla Tharp Dance), Charlie Neshyba-Hodges (Movin' Out, Twyla Tharp Dance), Jonathan Nosan, John Selya (Tony-nominee, TDF/Astaire Award and Theatre World Award winner for Movin' Out) and Ron Todorowski (Helen Hayes Award-winner for Movin' Out national tour).  Alexander Brady, Lisa Brescia, John Herrera, Alaine Kashian, Keith Kühl, Marty Lawson, Joseph Putignano, Cary Tedder and Jason Wooten complete the company.

The production features scenic and costume design by Santo Loquasto, lighting design by Donald Holder and sound design by Peter HylenskiThe Times They Are A-Changin' has orchestrations by Bob Dylan and Michael Dansicker, with music arranged, adapted and supervised by Mr. Dansicker and musical direction by Henry Aronson.

The Times They Are A-Changin' is presented by James L. Nederlander, Hal Luftig/ Warren Trepp, Debra Black, East of Doheny, Rick Steiner/Mayerson Bell Staton Group, Terry Allen Kramer, Patrick Catullo and Jon B. Platt/Roland Sturm.

Beginning Monday, September 25, the show will be performed Monday through Saturday evenings at 8 p.m., with Wednesday and Saturday matinees at 2 p.m.

Beginning Tuesday, October 31, the musical will be performed Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m. and Wednesday through Saturday evenings at 8 p.m., with Wednesday and Saturday matinees at 2 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 3 p.m.
