Stage veteran Allison Janney, well known for her performance as C.J. Cregg on Aaron Sorkin's long-running political drama THE WEST WING, was the recipient of the 2014 Emmy 'Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Comedy Series' award for her role Anna Faris' former alcoholic - and estranged - mother, 'Bonnie,' on the CBS sitcom MOM.

This marks Janney's sixth win, who took home two this year alone. The first of 2014 she received for her guest starring role on Showtime's MASTER OF SEX.

In 1996, Janney made her Broadway debut in a revival of Noel Coward's comedy PRESENT LAUGHTER, following it up with a turn in A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE in 1997, co-starring Stephen Spinella and the late Brittany Murphy.

Janney went on to score a Tony nomination for her role the stage adaptation of 9 TO 5: THE MUSICAL, alongside future SMASH star Megan Hilty and Stephanie J. Block. The three were joined by Marc Kudisch in the production, which opened April 30, 2009 on Broadway at the Marriott Marquis Theatre.

Janney's recent feature credits include 2013's THE WAY, WAY BACK with Steve Carell and Toni Collette. In addition, Janney has a number of films due for release, including Lynn Shelton's TOUCHY FEELY; the upcoming Paul Feig comedy SPY, also starring Melissa McCarthy; THE NIGHT IS YOUNG; THE HEART; and A BOOK OF COMMON PRAYER.

Her past film credits include THE HELP, the Oscar-winning JUNO, the all-star film adaptation of Broadway's HAIRSPRAY, LIFE DURING WARTIME, AWAY WE GO, the cult hit DROP DEAD GORGEOUS, THE HOURS, AMERICAN BEAUTY, and voicework in FINDING NEMO.

The 66th Primetime Emmy Awards telecast will air live coast-to-coast live tonight at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT on NBC from the NOKIA Theater L.A. Live in Los Angeles. The stars have already hit the red carpet and settled in for the ceremony - but it's never too late to get one last look at the fashion!
