Tom Chaplin, lead singer of Keane, sings 'Can You Feel The Love Tonight' from The Lion King as part of 'Sir Tim Rice: A Life In Song', broadcast on Christmas Day. Earlier this year at London's Royal Festival Hall, as part of the Songwriter Series produced by leading independent promoter Senbla, the life and work of one of our most admired and celebrated lyricists, Sir Tim Rice took place where a superstar guest line up paid tribute in front of a sell out crowd, hosted by Lord Michael Grade alongside the BBC Concert Orchestra conducted by Mike Dixon. As one of the live events of the year, highlights of the show included Rufus Wainwright performing Don't Cry for Me, Argentina, Tony-award winning singer-songwriter Tim Minchin performing Heaven on Their Minds from Jesus Christ Superstar, and Downton Abbey's Julian Ovenden singing Anthem proving his talent off screen too. Folk superstar Seth Lakeman performed the classic Any Dream Will Do and Rob Brydon showed off his incredible vocal with It's Easy For You, Rice's only song penned for Elvis Presley.
