Photo Flash: First Look at Daniel Clarkson and Jefferson Turner in POTTED SHERLOCK
Potted Productions presents POTTED SHERLOCK by Daniel Clarkson, who also stars alongside Jefferson Turner and Lizzie Wort, now through 25 August (not 6, 13 & 20 August) at the Pleasance Courtyard. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!
Double Olivier Award nominees Dan & Jeff return to premiere their fourth 'Potted' show. Dan and Jeff are back with their greatest challenge yet... the entire works of one of the greatest detective in literary history, Sherlock Holmes.
Fresh off the success of potting Potter, Panto and Pirates, there is no duo better equipped for such a task... however, they quickly learn that Sherlock, having appeared in four novels, 56 short stories and over 200 flms, is a bigger challenge than they had anticipated!
This is a more sophisticated Potted adventure than the previous three shows, set in the rich and vibrant world of Arthur Conan Doyle where plot twists, elaborate disguises and secret passages are compulsory! For the first time the double act will be joined on stage by a third performer to help them work their way through the many characters of the Holmes canon in just seventy minutes.
Dan and Jeff have earned widespread acclaim and a fan base that crosses generations. Potted Potter played five sold-out Fringe seasons in Edinburgh, five sold-out London runs and extensive U.K. and international tours prior to its critically-acclaimed US Premiere at the Little Shubert Theatre in New York City in 2012. They have recently been nominated for two Olivier Awards; Best Entertainment and Family Show for Potted Potter's 2011 run at the Garrick and Best Entertainment Show for Potted Panto at the Vaudeville in 2010.
The show plays Fringe Venue 33: Pleasance Courtyard (Sub-venue: One.) Contains strong language. Tickets £6-£12: 0131 556 6550 / www.pleasance.co.uk or Fringe: 0131 226 0000 / www.edfringe.com. For more, go to www.PottedSherlock.com.
