The London Musical Theatre Orchestra is delighted to announce the cast for its much anticipated Christmas concert; the hit Broadway musical, 'A Christmas Carol'. Robert Lindsay is to take the lead role of Scrooge joined by an illustrious supporting cast, that includes musical theatre star Carrie Hope Fletcher performing for the first time alongside her sister-in-law, actress, television personality and vlogger Giovanna Fletcher.

Cast announced so far:

SCROOGE: Robert Lindsay - BAFTA, Tony and three-time Olivier Award winning actor of stage and screen.

Theatre credits include OLIVER! (Palladium Theatre); Cyrano De Bergerac (Theatre Royal, Haymarket); Becket Winner of Variety Club Best Theatre Actor, Nominated for Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor (Haymarket); Me And My Girl Winner of Laurence Olivier Award for Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Musical, Winner of Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical (Adelphi Theatre)

Television credits include SPY Series 1 &2 (Hat Trick/Sky); MY FAMILY 9 Series BAFE Nomination for Best Comedy Performance, 2001 and Citizen Smith (BBC).

MRS CRATCHIT: Giovanna Fletcher Giovanna Fletcher is an author, mother, actress, blogger, YouTuber and wife to Tom Fletcher from McFly and sister in law to Carrie Hope (above). Having gained much praise for her vocal abilities when showcasing them online - this will be Giovanna's first professional concert.

Norman is currently appearing in London production of Murder Ballad at the Arts Theatre alongside Kerry Ellis, Ramin Karimloo and Victoria Hamilton-Barritt his Theatre Credits includes Marius in Les Miserables (West End & UK Tour); Frederick in Pirates of Penzance with Paul Nicholas (UK Tour)

The concert will take place on 19th December at the Lyceum Theatre.

After decade-long success at New York's Paramount Theatre in Madison Square Garden, A Christmas Carol comes to the London stage in glorious concert format for the very first time backed by the 32-strong London Musical Theatre Orchestra and performed by a star-studded West End cast.

This spectacular musical adaptation of one of Charles Dickens' most famous stories gets the full Broadway treatment by the Broadway team of Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid), Lynn Ahrens (Ragtime, Seussical) and Mike Ockrent (Crazy For You, Me and My Girl). Called by The New York Times "a tonic for adults, and for children a transfixing journey," A Christmas Carol is the warm-hearted kick-start to the Christmas week for all the family.

In keeping with the long term aim of the LMTO, the fully orchestrated concert aims to not only make orchestral performances accessible to brand new audiences, but also to bring the exciting repertoire of musical theatre to a more classical audience.
